Short Radiography of Hip Hop in Cuba

Despite significant social change in Cuba, Blacks continue to be ostracized and subjugated to a colonial perspective. In 1995 a group of creative young people founded a rap festival. Six years later, they were removed and the governmental institution which supposedly had endorsed them took total control of the hip-hop movement in Cuba, therefore, changing and undermining the movement’s basic intention of social criticism.
